“Well,” said Pooh, “what I like best,” and then he had to stop and think. Because although Eating Honey was a very good thing to do, there was a moment just before you began to eat it which was better than when you were, but he didn’t know what it was called.” ― A.A. Milne, (Winnie-the-Pooh)
Stanford Valley is part of Elandsvalley Farm in the rural outskirts of Stanford, South Africa. The farm employs a few million bees gathering nectar and processing that naturally into honey. Partly the honey is collected in jars without the addition of preservatives (etc.) and for sale at Stanford Harvest. The majority of honey however is needed for the creation of mead; the ‘Drink of the Gods’ as it is known in ancient mythology. But more about our mead cellar in the future.
